Jerilyn Izac joined NIST as a biologist in the Biosystems and Biomaterials Division in 2021. She received her Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019. Before coming to NIST, she was awarded a T32 training grant in vaccinology during her postdoc at University of Maryland Baltimore. Her research interests include vaccines, gene delivery systems, and B and T cell immunology. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing with her daughter, Rosie, and walking her two greyhounds, the Dude and Yoyo.
