Christopher Stafford

Chris Stafford currently leads the polymer membranes effort in the Functional Polymers Group in NIST's Material Measurement Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. in polymer science and engineering from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst in 2001 and then joined NIST as a guest researcher and was awarded an NRC Post-doctoral Fellowship in 2002. Chris’ spare time is consumed by his two outgoing daughters, and when he can get away, he enjoys playing volleyball, basketball, softball, and traveling to the occasional conference.
