Ronald Bishop Honored by American Ceramic Society

This award is presented by the Art, Archaeology and Conservation Science Division Executive Committee of the American Ceramic Society to an individual(s), who has made outstanding contributions to materials science applied to art, archaeology, architecture, or cultural heritage. The contributions could be an artistic creation, an archaeological study, or significant materials research.

Ronald Bishop is recognized of all his significant efforts, throughout many decades, to use rigorous materials science to deepen the understanding of cultural heritage. Dr. Bishop's selection for this award by the AACS Executive Board was unanimous and enthusiastic, considering the depth and breadth of his research.
