Kevin Stine - 2017 Federal 100

Kevin Stine

Kevin Stine. Chief, Applied Cybersecurity Division received 2017 Federal 100 Award.  Through Stine’s leadership, NIST has expanded its program to address the nation’s cybersecurity challenges and accelerate implementation of standards and best practices in the public and private sectors. He brought together the U.S. Coast Guard and maritime industry organizations to assess their cybersecurity risks and determine standards and best practices to improve their infrastructure. He also helped agencies, the health IT community, medical device manufacturers and cybersecurity vendors improve the security of medical devices. In addition, Stine integrated his privacy team into projects throughout NIST, which resulted in better management of security and privacy risks.
