Melissa Phillips (right) and Kate Rimmer (left) of the Chemical Sciences Division have been honored by the Official Methods Board of AOAC International, a leading standards development organization for analytical methods for foods and dietary supplements. Their method (AOAC 2016.16 Curcuminoids in Turmeric Raw Materials and Dietary Supplements: Liquid Chromatography with UV-VIS Detection), developed in collaboration with colleagues at the National Research Council of Canada and the British Columbia Institute of Technology, was selected as the 2024 AOAC Method of the Year.
