The Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) recognizes and honors outstanding scientists and engineers at the outset of their independent research careers in the federal service. The award consists of a special research grant and is based on the candidate's scientific accomplishments and leadership potential and the potential impact of their research on agency goals. The award is coordinated by the President's National Science and Technology Council.
Dr. DeLongchamp received the PECASE Award for his outstanding work in identifying the relationship between the molecular organization of organic films and their performance in electronic devices.
