NIST Chief Manufacturing Officer Addresses Manufacturing Summit

Michael Molnar, recently appointed Chief Manufacturing Officer for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), provided a keynote address at the Interactive Manufacturing Experience conference today (imX) in Las Vegas, NV, before an audience of about 500 manufacturing leaders and others.

Molnar discussed President's Obama's Advanced Manufacturing Partnership, NIST's activities supporting the program and the agency's special role in supporting manufacturing broadly.  He emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in the manufacturing arena.  A set of Power Points from his talk, "The U.S. Advanced Manufacturing Initiative, Federal Resources and Opportunities for Public/Private Partnerships" is now available.
