TWA 27 - Characterisation Methods for Ceramic Powders and Green Bodies

Abstract

A new Technical Working Area (TWA) has been established with the broad aim of developing and standardising methods for the characterisation of ceramic powders and green bodies because they are important for ceramic manufacturing processes. In this regard, the proposed workencompasses three dirrerent areas:1. Methods for powder properties2. methods for suspension characterisation3. methods for green body characterisationActivities in these areas are important for enhancement of future successful industrial development by improving international trade in ceramic products. The path to be followed includes the standardisation of test methods to characterise the different phsysical properties.
