Author(s)

Ellen M. Voorhees

Abstract

The Text REtrieval Conference (TREC) Clinical Decision Support Track fosters research on systems that link electronic health records with information that is relevant for patient care. TREC 2014 is the initial year of the track. The focus of the first year's track is the retrieval of biomedical articles relevant for answering three generic clinical questions about medical records: what is the diagnosis? what test should be performed? what is the best treatment plan? Twenty-six research teams submitted retrieval results to the track.
