Abstract
This electronic Acoustics and electromagnetics have a number of parallels based on similar equations describing propagation, reflection, and reverberation. This paper considers one example, the "cocktail party effect", that describes speech comprehension in the presence of multiple background conversations. An electromagnetic equivalent is developed that may have application to describing the quality of a wireless communications link in the presence of multiple and similar background signals.
