Abstract

Contrary to the footnotes to Tables II and III found in Ref. 1, HF/6-31G* vibrational frequencies were scaled by 0.893. The correct values were shown in the original tables. However, the frequency of the Ņ15 vibration was inadvertently scaled by (0.893)2 during the computation of thermodynamic functions. This resulted in small but significant errors in some entries of Table V. The corrected version of Table V is shown below. Temperatures other than 0 K and 298.15 K are often of interest and thermodynamic functions at other temperatures should have been provided in the original paper. They are summarized in Table VI here. Enthalpy functions for the elements in their standard states were taken from the JANAF tables.2
