Abstract

This white paper presents the general concepts, components, and issues related to establishing and administering a conformance testing and certification program. It identifies the types of activities, responsibilities, services, and documentation required to conduct conformance testing. The paper addresses both formal validation and certification of products, as well as self-testing. An example using the ebXML Registry specification is given.
