Abstract

The following brief essay attempts to summarize some of my remarks at the closing session of X- 99. The three sections below include a well-deserved appreciation for the effective work of the organizers and the conference staff. A second somewhat longer section indicates a few of the themes that this author view epitomized the conference content. Finally there is a modes t speculation on themes suggested for consideration beyond X-2002.
