The 48th Annual Denver X-ray Conference took place at Sheraton Steamboat Resort, Colorado, from August 2-6, 1999. This meeting was well attended, with a combined number of 650 conference attendees and exhibitors. It was supported by the International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD). Following the tradition, this meeting involved a 2-day workshop and 3 days of scientific programs. Inaddition, the ICDD technique committee also held various task group and subcommittee meetings throughout the entire 5-day program. This report summarizes the scientific programs and the social functions which took place during the meeting.
