Susan K. Loar (Fed)

Ms. Susan Loar is the Senior Management Advisor (SMA) and Acting Executive Officer (XO) of the Information Technology Laboratory (ITL) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). As SMA/XO, Ms. Loar develops, coordinates and oversees the administration of the Laboratory’s financial planning and management of administrative activities.  Ms Loar supervises a team of administrative staff and works closely with the OU Director, OU Deputy Director, and OU Division Chiefs to develop strategies, shape administrative procedures, and improve the business of ITL. Ms. Loar represents the OU in various administrative forums and exchanges. Ms. Loar joined ITL in 2000 and served in various administrative roles over the years, including the Administrative Officer for both the Applied & Computational Mathematics Division and the Statistical Engineering Division. In her current role, Ms. Loar is responsible for providing a wide variety of administrative and financial services essential to the direction and operation of the Information Technology Laboratory.
