Serena Martinez is the Administrative Support Assistant in the Program Coordination Office (PCO). She recently joined NIST in May 2016. Mrs. Martinez provides technical and administrative support to the Director and staff of the PCO while also managing and supporting a broad range of assignments, to include coordination of the NIST Leadership Board Meetings, Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology Meetings, and the NIST Colloquium Series. She is also responsible for all timekeeping, travel, procurement activities, preparing and tracking sensitive documents for the division.
Prior to her new position Serena was employed at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) located at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Mrs. Martinez served as the Acting Administrative Officer in the Visual Information Directorate (BUMED) for nine years supporting all aspects of Visual Information: video productions, medical graphics, and medical photography in support of the Navy's medical and dental requirements.
