Lily Chen (Fed)

Mathematician, NIST Fellow

Dr. Lily Lidong Chen is a mathematician and a NIST fellow. She has over 30 years of experience in cryptography research, standardization, and application. Her research interests include cryptography, network security, and security in communications. Dr. Chen joined NIST in 2005. She served as the manager of Cryptographic Technology Group in Computer Security Division, Information Technology Lab from 2012 to 2023. Besides NIST standards, Dr. Chen has actively contributed to standards development in IEEE-SA, ISO, and other organizations.
