Joanna Duong

Administrative Office Assistant

Started at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) through the Clerical Staffing Program (CSP).  Through CSP, I provided temporary administrative and clerical support to two groups within the Materials Measurement Science Division.  Duties included: screening and directing telephone calls and visitors; general office and clerical support such as preparing correspondence and reports; coordinating and scheduling meetings; preparing materials needed for conferences; maintaining appointment calendars; filing and record keeping, maintain time and attendance.  As an Administrative Officer Assistant under the Materials Measurement Lab Office I became proficient with Administrative Support software such as Travel Manager/E2, WebTA, NAIS, C.Request, NIKE, MyTools, UDO Review and CPCS in addition to clerical applications such as MSOffice and Adobe.  AIKs, staff relocation and Drupal updates were additional tasks I took pride managing.  Currently on detail with Office of Safety, Health and Environment and looking forward to a long career here at NIST.
