Janneth Marcelo serves as a Program Manager with the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) in the Electromagnetic Compatibility and Telecommunications (ECT) and Fasteners and Metals testing programs. She assists in the daily accreditation operations and serves as a staff contact for laboratories performing EMC, Military Standards (MIL STD), Product Safety, Radio, RF Exposure, and Telecom testing. Also for Fasteners and Metals laboratories performing testing such as chemical and mechanical testing.
As a Program Manager, Mrs. Marcelo is involved with many of the aspects of the laboratory accreditation process, which include training and monitoring of the NVLAP assessors to ensure that quality laboratory assessments are continuously performed to ISO/IEC 17025 and to meet international requirements of recognized accreditation bodies. She manages these accredited U.S. and international laboratories also to FCC requirements and those of foreign regulatory bodies.
From March 1993 until December 2001, Mrs. Marcelo was employed by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). During this employment, she began as a Laboratory Services Officer working with all fields of testing. She was promoted to Senior Laboratory Services Officer working with Mechanical and Chemical testing laboratories and then was promoted to Program Manager of the Fastener Testing Program.
From 2002-2006 and 2010-2013, she was employed by the Georgetown University Law Center where she served as Manager and Admissions Coordinator in the Office of Admissions, managing operations and coordinating implementation of special programs.
Janneth successfully completed the training requirements for registration as a Lead Assessor under the ASQC Registrar Accreditation Board.
Mrs. Marcelo has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biomechanics from Columbia University, School of Engineering and Applied Science, in New York City.
