Christopher Hunton (Fed)

Christopher Hunton has been on the staff of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) since 2003. He is an Information Specialist in the Technology Partnerships Office (TPO) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Mr. Hunton plans, manages, and executes complex communication assignments essential to promoting NIST intellectual property and NIST’s lab-to-market goals. He plans and coordinates writing assignments, interviews, and recordings and assists withrainings, showcases, and other events.

Before coming to NIST, Chris worked as the Finance and Planning Director of a technology company.  Other career experiences include serving as the Vice President of a small government affairs and lobbying firm and as the Membership Vice President of a national trade association and lobby.

Chris was awarded the NIST Director’s Special Recognition for Excellence in Mission Support. He is also the recipient of the NIST CFO World Class Service Award, the Eugene Casson Crittenden Award for significant impact in support of NIST's mission, the Manufacturing Extension Program’s Exceptional Achievement Award, and a Certificate of Recognition from the NIST Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Hunton received an A.B. degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.
