4/30/2009 at 7 PM EDT | Michael E. Newman, Senior Communications Officer, NIST Public and Business Affairs Office | While attending a reception at The Fund for America Studies headquarters in Washington, D.C., in honor of the Clemson University College of Business and Behavioral Sciences, I was introduced to Katy Bayless, Director of Federal Relations for Clemson University's DC Office of Governmental Affairs. Ms. Bayless asked if there was any news about applying for research facility construction grants under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 as Clemson would like to seek funds for its ICAR Campus. I told her that there were no announcements at this time and that she could check www.nist.gov/recovery for news and for the official starting date for grant applications. I also told her that for future inquiries, she could contact NIST's Office of Congressional and legislative Affairs at (301) 975-3080. | |
