Dr. Ehrlich is recognized for effectively representing the U.S. in the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML), an international treaty and standards development organization (SDO), and for his exemplary contributions to the development and implementation of a highly successful OIML mutual acceptance arrangement for test data used globally to certify instruments in the internationally important commercial weighing sector. Over four decades, Dr. Ehrlich has built extensive collaborations within national and international SDOs and across a broad range of measurement-science disciplines to create, advance, and lead documentary standards committees, which have greatly promoted global trade and international commerce.
