2024 Bronze Medal Award

AWARD CITATION

The group is recognized for the development of the Automated Cryptographic Validation Test Server (ACVTS), a NIST cloud-hosted service that provides automated black-box testing for implementations of NIST-defined standard cryptographic algorithms and other security functions. Unlike prior solutions, ACVTS enables testing of cryptographic implementations from early stages of product development through issuing of a NIST Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP) validation certificate.  Since 2019, 2.3 million tests have been performed, 80% of which could not have been done previously.
