AWARD CITATION

Dr. Haney is recognized for her leadership of NIST's Usable Cybersecurity Program, fundamentally transforming how government agencies view the human element in cybersecurity. Her innovative approach to cybersecurity research resulted in a paradigm shift in government thinking, impacting critical cybersecurity areas including passwords and authentication, phishing, smart home devices, security awareness training, cybersecurity role-based training, security fatigue, youth cybersecurity, and security for small and micro-sized businesses.
