AWARD CITATION

The group is recognized for exceptional leadership and creativity in developing testbed instrumentation, test methods, artifacts, and analysis methods that led to first-ever standards and metrics for the industrial use of exoskeleton wearable robots. As a result, multiple new standards developed through ASTM International have been adopted by industry as benchmarks for improving exoskeleton performance and safety. The adoption of the standards within industry is leading to new wearable technologies that allow U.S. manufacturers to better compete in the global marketplace.
