Ms. Reczek is recognized for leading the implementation of consensus standards development across the U.S. forensic science landscape, moving that community from a tradition of single stakeholder standards development into balanced consensus processes based on U.S. standards policy laid out in the National Technology Transfer and Advancement Act and OMB A119, Federal Participation and Use of Voluntary Consensus Standards. Ms. Reczek’s coordination efforts have increased NIST’s influence in these critical standards. The result has enhanced the quality and scientific foundation of forensic standards.
