The group is recognized for providing exceptional IT support while teleworking during a pandemic. From the moment staff were ordered to work remotely, the dedicated members of the Boulder IT Assistance Center (iTAC) found innovative solutions to the challenges faced by teleworking NIST Boulder scientific, administrative, and operational staff, including troubleshooting Windows, Linux, and Apple computers, encrypting hard drives, writing special code, restarting on-site computers after multiple power shutdowns, supplying new staff with computers and RSA access, and supporting new teleconferencing tools, all while working from their homes.
