AWARD CITATION

Brundage is recognized for his outstanding leadership in advancing the state of the art in measurement science to improve manufacturing maintenance capabilities. He has developed new competencies at NIST in the use of text-based data in manufacturing such as maintenance work orders to enrich analytics and improve decision-making in industry. His leadership has extended to collaborations across the Engineering Laboratory and other OUs at NIST, enabling this work. Brundage's efforts have led to many impacts, including collaborations across multiple divisions, organization of substantial external forums and symposiums, and technology transfer of tools that enable key industry stakeholders to leverage text-based manufacturing data.
