Zach Newman, NIST post-doctoral associate, won a 2019 Galvanize Boulder Lab Venture Challenge award for his project, “Octave Photonic for A Tantala Photonic Platform” in the physical science field. The challenge is intended to boost Colorado’s economy by financially supporting promising laboratory research work that has the potential to be commercialized. Winners receive $125,000 each.
