The US and United Kingdom (UK) will collaborate on bilateral innovation prize challenges to advance privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs). These technologies present an opportunity to harness the power of data in a manner that protects privacy and intellectual property, enabling cross-border and cross-sector collaboration to solve shared challenges.

By bringing together top minds from both countries, the prize challenges aim to help mature and facilitate adoption of PETs.

Building on decades of investment in privacy-enhancing technologies, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the National Science Foundation, and  NIST are leading an interagency initiative to develop the challenges with a  team of specialists from across the UK Government.
