NIST to Host a Community Meeting to Answer Questions from our Neighbors

In response to community requests, NIST will be holding a virtual meeting for its Gaithersburg, Md., campus neighbors to discuss the February 3, 2021, alert at the NIST Center for Neutron Research.
 
NIST leadership will provide background on the NCNR, discuss what happened on February 3 and next steps for the facility, and answer community questions. A representative from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is expected to be in attendance.
 
NIST has issued two statements about the alert:
