CALL FOR PROPOSALS | 2018 NICE Conference and Expo

-

The NICE Conference 2018 program committee is seeking timely, topical, and thought-provoking presentations for the annual NICE Conference and Expo that will be held November 6-7, 2018 in Miami, Florida. The conference is an opportunity to bring together employers of cybersecurity practitioners with representatives from education, training, certification, and workforce development communities to promote collaboration and showcase effective and innovative approaches among industry, government, and academia.

This year’s theme, “Innovations in Cybersecurity Education, Training, and Workforce Development”, inspires presentations that demonstrate new, creative, innovative, and effective approaches that will prepare, grow, and sustain a national cybersecurity workforce that safeguards and promote America’s national security and economic prosperity.

The conference will feature four tracks:

  1. Growing the Cybersecurity Workforce
  2. Expanding the Workforce Through Diversity and Inclusion
  3. Interdisciplinary and Cross-Domain Education and Training
  4. Talent Management and Workforce Planning

We encourage proposals from a diverse array of organizations and individuals with different perspectives, including employers and practitioners from the public and private sectors, non-profits, international bodies, educators at K-12 schools and institutions of higher education, research centers, and training and certification providers. Topics should attempt to align with the goals and objectives of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Strategic Plan and, where appropriate, consider uses of the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework.  Proposals will be evaluated and selected based on the quality of the written proposal, diversity of topics and presenters, and alignment with the conference theme and tracks. Submit your proposal by selecting "Submit Proposal" on the Call for Proposals page for NICE 2018 at NICEconference.org.

Depending on your topic, please consider the best approach for your presentation, including lecture format, panel discussions, demonstrations of concepts or solutions, or interactive forums.

Submission Deadline: July 1, 2018

Submit your proposal by selecting "Submit Proposal" on the Call for Proposals page for NICE 2018 at NICEconference.org.  For more information regarding the conference, please contact Randy Pestana at rpestana [at] fiu.edu (rpestana[at]fiu[dot]edu) or 305-348-0114.
