California Congresswoman Convenes Seminar on How to prepare for Cyber Threats
On August 17th, Representative Norma Torres (CA35) convened a panel on how local governments can prepare for cybersecurity attacks. Attendees included local law enforcement, government, and utility managers. Marian Merritt, the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Lead for Industry Engagement, participated as a speaker on the panel and shared details about the NIST/NICE efforts to build a stronger cybersecurity workforce that is able to respond to cybersecurity threats.
