Entrepreneurship Pathways at NIST: Taking ideas from the lab to the market

colloquium-Entrepreneurs-Gaithersburg-FlyerLR
NIST has a rich history of transferring ideas from the lab into the marketplace. At this special event you will hear stories about being an entrepreneur, innovating and inventing at NIST - and even after working at NIST. Over her NIST career, lab director Laurie Locascio has developed many new technologies that have moved into industry. Two NIST postdocs recently turned their idea into a startup company, and physicist Jun Ye from Boulder's NIST and JILA campuses is a prolific inventor. Their stories are examples of how NIST staff can capture the entrepreneurial spirit. Plan to join the Entrepreneurship Opportunities Expo directly after, in the Portrait Room, to learn even more about training and partnership opportunities that are available to NIST staff, including postdocs planning their "life-after-NIST" strategies.
