CFC Spirit Week Activities at NOAA

NIST, NOAA, and other DOC Employees:

Visit Science on a Sphere® in Silver Spring to support NOAA’s 2019 CFC CAN-paign.  Learn about how you CAN give to charities that protect the planet, and countless other causes.  Here is a sneak peek at some of the great activities we have planned:

Tuesday, Dec. 3th from 11 am to 1 pm - Flowers for Philanthropy

It’s Giving Tuesday! The first 100 employees who complete a Cause Card receive a flower. Make an online pledge and help make this one of the most successful giving days of the entire campaign.

Wednesday, Dec. 4th from 11 am to 1 pm - Selfie with the Sphere

Learn about the earth in a room sized, global display system that uses computers and video projectors to display planetary data onto a six foot diameter sphere, analogous to a giant animated globe to help illustrate Earth system science. Share your cause by taking a selfie with the Sphere, while holding your Cause Card!

Thursday, Dec. 5th from 8 am to 10 am - Cookies for a Cause

It’s International Volunteer Day.  The first 100 employees to visit the Science on a Sphere® receive a cookie, while supplies last.
