NIST Handbook 130 Price Verification

This 2 day seminar will provide inspectors with an understanding and application knowledge of the NIST Handbook 130 Examination Procedures Outline (EPO) on Price Verification, including the history of why and how it was developed, along with practical application of being able to apply the procedure in a field setting.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this learning event, participants will be able to:

  • DESCRIBE the background and history of why and how the Examination Procedure Outline (EPO) on Price Verification was developed
  • EXPLAIN the EPO test procedures, documentation of findings and evaluation of inspection results 
  • DEMONSTRATE and APPLY the EPO in a field setting

Materials & Supplies:

Participants will be provided with a notebook of course materials.

There are no prerequisites for this seminar.

Pre-Work:

There is no pre-work required.

Post-Work:

There is no post-work required.

Minimum Requirement(s):

Students must be registered in the OWM Contacts System, be in attendance for the entire class, successfully complete assignments and pass a final assessment. Students who do not fulfill these requirements will not receive a certificate of completion.

Audience:

This learning event is for State Weights and Measures officials and is by invitation only. 

Cost:

There is no registration fee for this learning event. However, participants are responsible for their travel costs.
