This seminar provides participants with training on the U.S. system of commercial grain moisture measurements, current grain moisture meter technologies, laboratory air-oven reference methods for moisture, weight per bushel reference method, and field evaluation of grain moisture meters to ensure that participant are able to: (1) determine the reference moisture content in grain in accordance with the USDA air-oven test methods and (2) uniformly evaluate and inspect commercial grain moisture meters.

Participants will need to bring a calculator to the training.
Participants are asked to complete the NIST Self‐Study course on NIST Handbook 44 prior to attending the class. The self‐study course is available on‐line at http://www.nist.gov/pml/wmd/lmdg/training-materials.cfm.
Successful completion requires 100 % attendance and a passing grade on final exam.
There is no charge to participate in the HB 133 Seminar; however, participants are responsible for travel, hotel and meal expenses.
