The USNWG is a group consisting of regulatory officials, device manufacturers, service agents, users of belt-conveyor scale systems, and other stakeholders. The group's meetings are focused on: improvement of regulatory standards; examination policies and procedures; and the harmonization of U.S. and international standards.

NIST Office of Weights and Measures

The USNWG will address relevant issues concerning the use, testing, maintenance, and legal metrology requirements regarding belt-conveyor scale systems and associated equipment. This meeting's agenda will focus largely on proposed changes to the Belt-Conveyor Scale Systems Code in NIST Handbook 44 related to "weigh-belt" systems. A formal agenda is being developed and will be available by January 22, 2013.
