Participants will be able to describe their measurement assurance system during a Management Review; review example control charts for problems, trends, and stability and be able to identify assignable causes and possible action items; and conduct a system level assessment of their Measurement Assurance components.

This session will cover the requirements in NIST Handbook 143 (essentially ISO/IEC 17025) on Measurement Assurance (Section 5.9). we will specifically cover Control charting techniques, reviews, assessments, and system-level assessments of measurement assurance systems. Specific tools for administrative practices include a Measurement Assurance System Assessment that requires preliminary evaluation in your laboratory and we will discuss one assessment that you conduct and submit prior to the seminar.
