Thank you to all the participants for a great workshop!
There is considerable effort in the Denver area to develop and implement new materials and technologies for improved treatment of water sources. In the coming year, NIST-Boulder is launching a project, "Nanotechnology for Water," aimed at developing real-time, in-situ, nanoscale characterization tools for measuring the next-generation of multi-functional materials for water treatment. The goal of this workshop is two-fold: to introduce our efforts in metrology for clean water and to provide a forum for the local water community to showcase its unique advances and capabilities.
This invitation-only workshop will include people from academia, industry, and federal and local government. We hope to identify the major themes encompassing current materials challenges in water treatment in Colorado.
