Last week we shared the exciting news of an award to Trusted Federal Systems (TFS) to serve as the formal convener and secretariat for the soon-to-be-established Identity Ecosystem Steering Group (IESG).
Today we’re pleased to share that TFS has announced the dates and location for the initial meeting of the Steering Group: August 15-16 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center (formerly known as the Rosemont Convention Center) in Chicago, IL. The announcement was made via the new Steering Group website that TFS has established at
http://www.idecosystem.org/. Visit the website to register to attend, learn more about how you can participate in the proceedings, and nominate candidates for leadership roles. *There is no registration fee or charge to attend.
Going forward, this site will be the hub for NSTIC stakeholders to obtain information about the IESG, and as functionality for the site is built out, it will also support the ability for stakeholders to engage in virtual collaboration on key Identity Ecosystem issues.
In addition to the new website, the Steering Group also has established a new Twitter handle:
@id_eco_system .
Note that the Convention Center is located just a few blocks from O’Hare Airport. There are a number of hotels close to the Convention Center; a list of them is posted at
http://www.idecosystem.org/page/hotels-near-first-steering-group-meeting.
We will look forward to seeing many of you there next month, as we take the next steps to realizing the creation of the Identity Ecosystem outlined in the NSTIC!
