Irena Bojanova is a computer scientist in the Software and Systems Division of the Information Technology Laboratory at NIST. She is the PI and lead of the NIST Bugs Framework (BF) (https://samate.nist.gov/BF/). Previously she was a professor at JHU Carey Business School, a program chair at UMUC, an academic director at JHU-CTY, and a co-founder of OBS Ltd. (now CSC Bulgaria).
Currently, Bojanova is a member of the IEEE CS Board of Governors (BoG), the Chair of the Magazine Operations Committee (MOC), IEEE CS, the Editor of the Cybersecurity column of IEEE IT Professional, and a General Chair of the EEE Software Technology Conference (STC). Most recently, she was the EIC of IEEE IT Professional magazine, the Editor of the Education column of IEEE Computer magazine, the Committee on Integrity Chair on the of IEEE CSPB, and the founding chair of IEEE CS Cloud Computing STC. She has served also as a General Chair of IEEE ISSRE, QRS, STC, and the COMPSAC IT in Practice Symposium.
