Angela Robinson has been awarded the PECASE for her innovative work in the field of Post-Quantum Cryptography and privacy-enhancing cryptography. She helped develop a practical algorithm for privacy-preserving proximity detection with a direct application to the Covid-19 pandemic during the lockdown period, resulting in two publications and a role as Information Security Research and Education (InSuRE) project technical lead, and a technical reviewer for 6 DARPA proposals related to fully homomorphic encryption, zero-knowledge proofs, and secure multiparty computation. She also leads a research group in creating cryptographic methods to protect information systems in the post quantum world.
