Community Resilience Workshops

NIST would like your input on resilience!

Throughout the past year NIST has convened a series of workshops engaging a broad network of stakeholders to help develop the Community Resilience Planning Guide for Buildings and Infrastructure Systems (Guide), with a focus on the role that buildings and infrastructure play in ensuring community resilience.

These workshops were held to support the continuing development of the Community Resilience Planning Guide. The first workshop was held on April 7, 2014 at the NIST Gaithersburg, MD campus. Following workshops were held at locations throughout the country to engage a broad range of stakeholders and their experiences.

NIST has posted the current draft of the Guide and will be receiving comments from the public through June 26th. Volume I and II of the draft Guide along with the public comment form can be found here.

Workshop materials from each conference held to support the creation of the Guide, including the agenda, presentations, breakout sessions, and a workshop summary, are available through the links on the right side of this page.
