Joshua Hadler Receives NIST Safety Award

Mr. Joshua Hadler is recognized for his outstanding leadership and tireless dedication resulting in dramatically improved laser safety across NIST.  Since 2002, Mr. Hadler has been instrumental in devising and executing an effective NIST laser safety program, in compliance with applicable regulations, consensus standards and industry best practices.  Mr. Hadler's unique expertise in both laser metrology and laser safety has enabled him to serve as a source of valuable information for both NIST Safety and research staff. He serves as an extremely effective resource for NIST researchers, enabling them to conduct state-of-the-art laser experiments in a safe and effective manner. In addition, Mr. Hadler has provided relevant and extremely well-received training to hundreds of staff across NIST. Mr. Hadler's training seminars have received acclaim across NIST, including bench scientists, NIST senior management, safety professionals, facilities and security personnel.
