| Title: | Correction Factors for the NIST Free-Air Ionization Chambers Used to Realize Air Kerma from W-Anode X-ray Beam |
| Published: | October 16, 2012 |
| Abstract: | This report details analyses in the development of certain correction factors for free-air ionization chambers used by the National Institute of Standards and Technology to realize air kerma for its measurement standards and calibrations of W-anode x-ray beams. The correction factors dealt with in this report are the electron-loss correction, kel, the photon-scatter correction, ksc, the fluorescence-reabsorption correction, kfl, and the bremsstrahlung-reabsorption correction, kbr. |
