|Title:||NIST/NIH Vitamin D Metabolites Quality Assurance Program Report of Participant Results: Winter 2011 Exercise (Exercise 3)|
|Published:||December 21, 2012|
|Abstract:||The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) recently established a Vitamin D Metabolites Quality Assurance Program (VitDQAP) in collaboration with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Dietary Supplements. Participants in the third exercise of this program, the Winter 2011 exercise, were asked to use the methodology of their choice to measure concentrations of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in control and study materials distributed by NIST. Participants provided their data to NIST, where it was compiled and evaluated for trueness relative to the NIST value, within- laboratory precision, and concordance within the participant community. NIST compiled and evaluated the data from the Winter 2011 exercise and provided a generalized report to all participants of the exercise. Although a data summary was included in this report, laboratories were identified by code numbers known only to them.|
