|Title:||Porosity and Its Measurement|
|Published:||September 17, 2013|
|Abstract:||Numerous approaches have been applied for measuring the porosity of materials. The most common techniques are based on gas sorption, liquid intrusion, microscopy, and X-ray and neutron scattering. Each technique provides a characteristic value of porosity, which depends on the measuring principle and nature of the probe. The present article describes the different porosity measurement methods, which can be selected according to the expected pore size range and application of the material.|
