|Title:||Biosynthetic origin of the 3-amino-2,5,7,8-tetrahydroxy-10-methylundecanoic acid moiety and absolute configuration of pahayokolides A and B|

|Abstract:||Pahayokolide A is a cyclic undecapeptide from the cyanobacterium Lyngbya sp. The absolute configurations of the amino acids of pahayokolide A have been determined. Pahayokolide A contains the unusual α-hydroxy-β-amino acid, 3-amino-2,5,7,8- tetrahydroxy-10-methylundecanoic acid (Athmu). The starter unit for the biosynthesis of Athmu is derived from leucine which is extended further with three acetate units.|
