Abstract

An approach for establishing metrological traceability for measurement results from guarded-hot-plate apparatus consistent with policy at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is presented. A brief example for initiating met-rological traceability for the steady-state thermal transmission properties determined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology 1016 mm guarded-hot-plate appara-tus is described. The approach is suitable for other types of apparatus used to determine steady-state thermal transmission properties.
